How to create a camping bar with just the basics?

Sometimes, you just want to sit in a camp chair with a drink.

Find your spot!

Camping is best done with a drink! Yes, there will be alcohol, but there will also be non-alcoholic choices. Starting with a favorite, the Lemon Drop, known for its sweet rims and tart flavor, this camp drink can share the table with a tall jar of lemonade with all the fixing. Don’t forget the umbrellas.

An Easy To Create Camp Bar

The Camp Bar in a Box

All you need is a box or cupboard space or a flatware drawer.

  • Cocktail Shaker

  • Cocktail Measuring Cup

  • Pour Spout

  • Corkscrew

All the rest is bling.

Camp like a bartender.

If you do not have a measuring cup learn how to count.

The cocktail measuring cup does most of the work regarding measurements, but you can pour out your drinks with counts if you do not have a measuring cup. The trick is to practice the count with each pour. Use water instead of alcohol in the bottle with a pour spout to practice pouring. Start with a 1/4 oz pour; follow the count once you pick up the pouring stride.

Pouring into the shaker with a quick steady hand

One count equals 1/4 oz.

Two counts equal 1/2 oz.

Three counts equals 3/4 oz.

Four counts equals 1 oz.

Floating is pouring the liquid into a spoon so it sits on top of the drink

A dash and splash is the same and usually used for bitters.

Camp drinks should be easy and carefree. Create a one-of-a-kind or a pitcher full and enjoy. If camping with kids and non-drinkers, have a companion drink for everyone to enjoy. Remember, do not drink and drive.
