Seafood by the Sea

Fish stew is a sweet, salty, zesty way to get into the campground. You can call it fish stew, cioppino, bouillabaisse, make it spicy, aromatic, rich with flavor. Seafood by the Sea is perfect for a First Night Meal or inviting other campers over to dine on the daily catch.

Seafood stew in the campground, waves crashing, sun setting, perfection.

Every recipe is different, so use your favorite. We suggest making only the base ahead of time and adding the flavors from the sea at the campsite. The best part of seafood stews is the local fish markets. Stop and look for what's fresh for the ingredients. Some fish markets have their unique base flavored soup stocks you can purchase along with the seafood. We brought our favorite seafood market brand base for this recipe and added a cup of local white wine, chopped carrots, celery, onions, and spices. The seafood market near the campground had fresh fish, clams, scallops, and shrimp. Garnish with lemons, limes, rice, and garlic bread for added camping bling.

Don’t forget the spices.
