The beauty of a sugar cookie is the cut-out. Celebrate the campground experience with a bit of sweetness. A sugar cookie travels well. They can be stars or vintage trailers. They can have countless flavors and decorations. This easy recipe works every time. All you need is a cookie cutter.
Holiday Stars
3 cups of flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Whisk together in bowl set aside.
1 cup soft unsalted butter
3/4 cup super fine sugar
Mix with mixer till it is pale in color 2-5 minutes.
Add 1 egg-mix
Add 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla-mix
Add flour mixture-do not over beat
Divide and wrap in clear wrap-refrigerate at least 2-5 hours.
Roll out dough on light dusting of flour. Cut into shapes. Bake 350 degrees 7-10 minutes. Bottom should light brown in color. Cool on rack. Ice and sprinkles.
