Let the kids be a big part of your camping trip.

SET THE TABLE with craft time place settings.

Setting the table can be a family event especially with fun camp treatments the kids can create as part of their camping day. Find oversized paper to use as placemats, let the kids create their place settings with crayons or glued pieces of paper. Craft stores carry stickers, stamps, colored pencils. Make part of the decoration something about the day’s activities, drawing the wildlife, telling a story. Let them set the table with colorful party plates, whimsical napkins, and multi-color eating utensils.

Sometimes things to do with kids can be simple things. The best part it is all disposable, especially if you use paper. Save the artwork or roll them into bundles to start the campfire.

Things to remember:
Try eco-friendly products
Party stores are great for creative paper plates
Heavy plastic-eating utensils are washable
Let the kids choose their color for eating utensils
13x19 paper comes in a lot of fun colors for placemats
The classic checkerboard tablecloth is perfect for campgrounds
