Grays Meadows Campground sits at 6,100 feet along Independence Creek. Thirty-five campsites with 40 feet RV maximum can settle into the valley, with the eastern sierra mountain range dazzling the views. There are no showers. The campground is dog friendly but bears frequent the site, so keep on the lookout. Bear boxes, picnic tables, bbq grill comes with your spot. Pay attention to fire warnings before making a fire. Grays Meadows is perfect for exploration, from hiking to backpacking. The stream passes right through the campground. Deer love to peek in to see what's going on. Check out Independence for a small-town vibe, but this campground is perfect for doing absolutely nothing.
